Frozen Delights: This Is The Most Popular Flavor Of Ice Cream In Florida

Here in The Sunshine State, there’s nothing like a frozen treat to cool you down on a hot day and this is the most popular flavor of ice cream in Florida.

With temperatures soaring all over the country, it makes perfect sense that July is National Ice Cream Month. Looking at the 10-day forecast here in Fort Myers, there’s not a day below 92 degrees. So that means we can eat ice cream every day to celebrate, right?

Fox Business reports that Instacart did a deep dive into looking at the popular ice cream flavors in each state based on what flavors land in carts the most at the grocery store. The research found that the nearly 50% of the U.S. prefer vanilla, chocolate is a close second and very popular on the East Coast.

When it comes to ice cream, it’s hard for me to pick a favorite. I feel like I buy moose tracks the most, but I do change it up. I like the seasonal flavors too. The other day I got a key lime pie ice cream that was SO good. But I’m pretty equal opportunity when it comes to ice cream, it’s my favorite food group. I’m not the only one who loves moose tracks. It’s most popular in 3 states, which mint chip and coffee ice cream are most loved in 4.

Which flavor do Floridians love most?

Here in Florida, chocolate appears to be the most popular flavor of ice cream. And the joy of chocolate ice cream doesn’t have to be limited to just scoops. Imagine concocting a delightful sundae with mountains of whipped cream, chocolate fudge, crushed Oreo cookies and a cherry on top.

And..now I want ice cream.

July already?  Where has 2023 gone?  Wasn’t Valentine’s Day yesterday?  WOW!
