VIDEO: The WiLD Bunch Pull Off Huge Surprise For 3 Southwest Florida Teachers With Cash For Their Class
We love our Southwest Florida teachers, and The WiLD Bunch pulled off a huge surprise for 3 teachers with cash for their class.
Recently, we found out that teachers here in Southwest Florida have to pay for their own school supplies for their classroom. With all that teachers do, we didn’t think that was fair. Neither did David Oak of Achieva Credit Union. So we partnered up to give 3 teachers $1,039 for their classroom. After receiving tons of entries online, Wednesday afternoon, the surprises began. We visited schools in Fort Myers, North Fort Myers and Immokalee.
Our first stop was at Franklin Park Elementary School in Fort Myers. Ms. Babyak teaches 2nd grade and it was her first day back to start getting ready for the school year. We walked in and she had NO idea what was happening and the look on her face was priceless. She’s a big fan of The WiLD Bunch and couldn’t believe what she was seeing when we walked in with a big check with her name on it.
Next, we headed to North Fort Myers to Hancock Creek Elementary. Mrs. Rivas is new to the school and was just starting to set up her classroom as well. After much confusion, she said “Wait, did I win?!” She was in absolute shock. These surprises are amazing!
But wait, there’s more!
Our final stop on Thursday was to Immokalee to pay a visit to Mrs. Budd. She’s beginning her second year at Eden Park Elementary School teaching 4th grade math & science. This surprise was a big one because the principal, Ms. Anderson, came up with quite a story and had Mrs. Budd doing a “photo shoot” when we walked in. There were legit tears. It was so special!
It was a such a fun couple of days surprising some great Southwest Florida teachers. As much as they enjoyed receiving the money for their classrooms, we enjoyed presenting them with checks. We love surprises and being able to thank teachers for all they do. Have a great 2023-2024 school year!
