Miley Cyrus has further elaborated on why touring isn't "healthy" for her. In her "Used to Be Young" TikTok series, the singer-songwriter shared how much being on the road has taken a toll on her. 30-year-old Cyrus said in a video she posted Sunday, "What people don’t really understand about touring is the show is only 90 minutes, but that’s your life. If you’re performing at a certain level of intensity and excellence, there should be an equal amount of recovery and rest."

She added, "There’s a level of ego that has to play a part that I feel gets overused when I’m on tour, and once that switches on, it’s hard to turn it off. And I think when you’re training your ego every single night to be active, that’s the hardest switch for me to turn off." The "Flowers" singer says the daily relationship between her and other human beings as "subject and observer isn’t healthy" for her because it erases her "humanity" and "connection." Without the two, Cyrus says she "can’t be a songwriter, which is my priority."

This isn't the first time Miley expressed not having a "desire" to tour. Back in May, she opened up about how she feels about touring to British Vogue. She asked, "Do I want to live my life for anyone else’s pleasure or fulfillment other than my own? And, you know what… I love performing but pretty much for them," Cyrus said of her fans. "Singing for hundreds of thousands of people isn’t really the thing that I love. There’s no connection. There’s no safety. I never need to be a master at the craft of tricking an audience," she said while shrugging. "It will set itself on fire all by itself."

She later took to Twitter to clarify her comments, as fans took that personally. "For clarity, I feel connected to my fans NOW more than ever. When I win, WE win," Cyrus wrote in a statement at the time. She continued to state that she doesn't feel comfortable sleeping on a moving bus. "It isn't what's best for me right NOW, & if you've been following my career, you know that I always change, and the way I feel about that could too."

10 Celebrities That Identify As Pansexual

"Pansexuality" is when someone experiences physical, romantic, and/or emotional attraction to a person regardless of their gender identity, per GLAAD. This is one of several terms under the bi+ umbrella.

While there are many overlaps between pansexuality and bisexuality, the official definitions differ in their approach to gender. The prefix pan- means "all," while bisexuality is the attraction to multiple gender identities. According to Stonewall, there may be individuals who align with the way pansexuality is defined yet identify with the term bisexuality. Others may use pansexual and bisexual interchangeably.

Like bisexuality, pansexuality is often associated with negative connotations. Often, those who identify with being labeled as an experimentation phase or to be a stepping stone to being gay. However, according Stonewall, the term pansexual has been included in the Oxford English Dictionary since the early 1900s and has been used in its current definition since at least the late 1960s.

LGBTQ+ people have long been using a range of different terms to describe their identities. As we've progressed as far as social acceptance and social media, the terms are more widespread.

Take a look below at 11 celebrities who are pansexual:
