Florida Man Painted Like The Joker Threatens Police with Crowbar
Today’s Florida man story is somewhat of a super villain origin story. A man was nabbed by Santa Rosa County sheriff’s deputies last Sunday, all because of a crowbar and some terrible fashion choices. I mean, seriously, who needs a cape when you’ve got a crowbar, right?
According to WKRG, the man behind this spectacle is Anthony Brad Moreno, a 29-year-old who apparently missed the memo about taking his medication. You see, Anthony proudly identifies as bipolar and schizophrenic, but he’s been off his meds for a solid decade. Can you imagine the whirlwind of thoughts brewing in this guy’s brain?
So there he was, paint-splattered like a discount Picasso, strutting his stuff near a Best Western hotel in Milton, Florida. Now, most people don’t draw attention to themselves by threatening to give their crowbar a ride through someone’s windshield, but not Anthony. He went all out.
Crowbar Crazy:
The call to 911 must have been almost as insane as Anthony. We can only imagine… “Yeah, there’s this guy, he’s wearing his artistic expression on his face and body, and he also seems to be auditioning for a crowbar juggling act.”
It turns out Anthony had been evicted from the very same Best Western just the day before. When the deputies rolled up in their finest crime-fighting gear, Anthony wasn’t feeling particularly diplomatic. Instead, he upped the ante with more threats. I guess he was playing “hard to negotiate with” that day.
Anthony then confessed that he’d painted his face to look like the Joker. Originality points, I guess? More deputies joined the party, traffic was halted, and our paint-smeared wannabe Joker finally gave up. He spilled the beans about his recent suicide attempt, which added a splash of somberness to the otherwise outlandish event.
Now Anthony’s got a $30,000 price tag on his freedom. Currently, he’s chilling in Santa Rosa County’s finest establishment, the jailhouse. So that’s all it takes really… Just some paint, a crowbar, and a dash of “Joker” inspiration. True artist? Or maybe just your average Florida man super villain!
Florida Man Humor To Make You Laugh For TikTok Tuesday
Florida is a great place to live. It sure is quirky. But that is part of its charm. Social media always has some crazy story about Floridians. In addition, people who visit from other parts of the country are often taken aback by our weather, our insects and creatures, and lots more. At least one Southwest Florida TikTok user has had great success trying to explain Florida with his funny and unique videos. Here is some of his so-called Florida Man humor to make you laugh for TikTok Tuesday.
I’ve been following Josh Robinson, AKA omgitswicks, for some time now and I always get a kick out of his characterization of Floridians and how he turns everything from humidity and hurricanes, to mosquitos, into characters for his videos. He is a Southwest Florida native. He gets it, gets us. Robinson is always eating something from the Publix deli in his videos. Another famous prop is his old school flip phone that he allegedly uses to catch the crazy that often times defines Florida. Whatever he is doing works. He has more than 295,000 followers.
Here is a good example of how he tackles the ever changing and every challenging weather we have in Southwest Florida.
If you are on TikTok, you should follow too. However, you do not need a TikTok account to watch these videos that I’ve assembled. We’ll use mine. All you have to do is scroll down and then hit play. They are all office friendly. They are also fun to share with your with your “northern” and “midwestern” friends. If you live in Florida, you will relate, and get a kick out of these videos. There were so many to share that it was hard for me to pick just five.
But here they are. Florida Man humor to make you laugh for TikTok Tuesday.
