Adam Wilson of Winter Haven Won A Million Dollars On A $5 Scratch Off
Congratulations Adam Wilson of Winter Haven, Florida on your million dollar win! I’m a big fan of winning a million on just a $5 dollar ticket. Those $50 tickets scare me, I just can’t do it.
Adam was playing the Florida Lottery $5 Scratch-Off game, THE PRICE IS RIGHT, launched in February and features eight top prizes of $1 million. Well, minus the one he just won, of course. He chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $640,000.00. It’s a great win, but I have a question.
Adam Wilson, how did you know you won?
That picture is Adam’s actual winning ticket from the Florida Lottery and I’m completely lost. I have no idea how this game works, or how Adam knew that he won. Maybe it was clearer before he scratched off the ticket, but I have no idea how this is a winning ticket. I’m gonna have to find the rules online somewhere. I always felt the same way about the crossword ones, too. They just seem more complicated than I want them to be. I feel like I would just scratch off the bottom of the ticket right after I bought it and put the ticket under the scanner at Publix. It’ll tell me if I won or lost and I can just get on with it.
Anyway, congratulations Adam Wilson of Winter Haven on your million dollar win. Just to show that sometimes the little $5 Florida Lottery tickets can win big, too.
