In fact, four FEMA Disaster Assistance Teams are now on the ground. They are canvassing many areas of the county that were impacted by the storm. Along the way, it pushed lots of water into many areas of Southwest Florida still recovering from Hurricane Ian.
On October 2nd Charlotte County officials made an amendment to the Hurricane Idalia Major Disaster Declaration that makes residents eligible for FEMA assistance. This includes debris removal, which for some, is much needed help. You have to apply to receive that help.
