Fight Over A Cat In Lakeland Leaves 2 People Injured
We’re constantly hearing about disputes over the most ridiculous things, and this time a fight over a cat in Lakeland leaves 2 people injured and 3 arrested.
It wasn’t that long ago that there was a story that made headlines about a dog adoption gone wrong in Tampa and today’s drama involves a cat. I’m a huge animal lover and I would do anything for my dog Rocket, so I understand that emotions can run high when dealing with beloved pets. However, when things go too far, that can be a problem. In this case, 2 people were left injured and 3 got arrested.
Fight Over A Cat In Lakeland Leaves 2 People Injured
This crazy situation took place Sunday night in Lakeland when 3 people were involved in a fight over a cat. Police were called to the scene after 11pm after getting calls of shots fired. According to WFLA, when they got there, they found 3 suspects who showed up at the home of 2 women and demanded a cat. It didn’t end there. One of the women was pulled outside of her home by one of the suspects leading to the whole group of them getting into a fight, with one of the suspects pulling out a screwdriver as a weapon.
And just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse, one of the victims then went inside and got a shotgun and fired some warning shots that left holes in a neighbor’s car.
Thankfully no one was actually shot in this altercation, but both a victim and a suspect were taken to the local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
I have so many questions about this cat though. Did the suspects just want the cat? What kind of cat was it? Did they think the cat belonged to them? What even happened to the cat? We may never know.
