Desiree Kramer, a Cape Coral local, hit it big on Wheel of Fortune Friday night, walking away with over $55,000 in cash and prizes. According to NBC2, it was a moment she had worked toward for months, and it all paid off when she solved several puzzles and clinched the bonus round.

Kramer, who has always been a fan of game shows, jumped at the chance to audition for Wheel of Fortune. But getting on the show wasn’t as easy as just signing up. It took four rounds of auditions—first through video, then Zoom, and finally in person. Kramer wasn’t expecting a fast track, they really wanted to see who she was as a person, not just a contestant.

Her road to success didn’t stop with the auditions. Kramer put in serious hours of preparation before filming. She watched countless episodes of Wheel of Fortune on YouTube, fast-forwarding through puzzles to practice solving them. She also studied common mistakes other contestants made, ensuring she’d avoid the same pitfalls.

Wheel of Fortune Winner:

Her hard work paid off in a big way. With a few solid puzzle solves and a win in the bonus round, Kramer racked up $55,000 in total, including $40,000 from the bonus round alone. She also snagged a trip to Disney World, which is just one of the perks of being a Wheel champ. But Kramer’s big plans don’t end there, she’s already thinking about a trip to Italy.

Since the show aired, Kramer has received a wave of support from people back in Cape Coral, many of whom she doesn’t even know. She’s thrilled to represent her city on such a big stage and is grateful for the encouragement she’s gotten from friends, family, and even strangers.

It's almost always fun to visit, however, some times of the year it is less magical than others due to crowds and the Florida heat. We have some inside information to help with your planning. The best days of the year to visit Disney are coming up. They are in October and November according to the travel planning experts at MagicGuide.

Lower crowds in the fall months make it easier to score moments like this one with your favorite Disney characters.

To come up with these days, the travel planners gave each day of the year a crowds-to-weather score, among other things. This does not mean you  wont experience crowds and long lines at some of the most popular attractions. However, those crowds should be less and the lines much shorter than during peak times.

Walt Disney World’s parks are typically the least crowded around these times

The WORST days to visit Disney theme parks, as far as crowds are concerned are almost always weekends when compared to week days. They are followed by these times:

Here are the days to visit Disney

      Magic Kingdom

The best days to visit the Magic Kingdom are October 26th, October 31st and November 1st. Look at your calendar now and plan a getaway if you want the lowest crowds and best weather according to this research.
