Today is Taco Tuesday and if you're looking to celebrate, here are 3 must-try taco spots in Fort Myers.
I love a good Taco Tuesday. Not only does it make for an easy dinner that I don't have to think about, but I will also never pass up an opportunity to eat tacos. Mexican food has always been a favorite and of all the things on a menu, I feel like tacos are always a go-to. And I know I'm not the only one. The love for tacos runs deep. And I'm sure we all have our reasons for loving the food, but to me, they're the perfect blend of flavor, texture, and versatility. Whether it’s the crunch of a crispy shell or the softness of a tortilla you get a satisfying bite every time. And there is an endless variety of what you can put inside and on top. From different meats to veggies, salsa, sour cream and guacamole. They're also quick and easy to make, and if you dine out, very inexpensive as well.
3 Must-Try Taco Spots in Fort Myers
I'm always on the lookout for new, or new to me, taco spots in Southwest Florida. I live in Fort Myers, so the majority of places I've tried are here, but my list of places in Lehigh Acres and Immokalee continues to grow. If you're looking for a new taco spot, here are 3 must-try taco spots in Fort Myers.
1. TaKote- This is one of my favorite places that I'll call on my way to or from the beach for a great lunch or dinner. It's right on San Carlos across from the Fort Myers Beach Walmart. You can't go wrong with any of their tacos but my favorite are the barbacoa, carne asada and chorizo. Highly recommend getting the Platano Frito as a side, one of my favorite things ever.
2. Tres Amigos Taqueria- This place is right around the corner from my house so I've become a bit of a regular there. Every meat I've tried has been delicious with my favorites being the shredded chicken, chorizo and carne asada. They also have this avocado mild salsa that is the best I've found anywhere.

3. Taqueria San Julian- I had first heard about about San Julian from a friend when we were in Naples. We tried to get in and the place was packed so we drove to the Fort Myers location. Not only are they only $2 each, which is a steal, but they're so tasty. Love the al pastor and the tortillas are so soft and warm.
If you have any great taco spots I need to add to my list, let me know, I'll meet you there.
