Yum! Brands acquired 13 Florida locations from PDQ to grow its Saucy! by KFC restaurant idea. The company is purchasing the properties, but will remove the PDQ name.
Saucy! by KFC brings something different to fast-food chicken — a menu built around sauces and chicken dishes that break from tradition.
PDQ sites in Naples, along with 12 others across Florida, will switch over. The Naples restaurant ran for over five years, dishing out chicken sandwiches and pitching in with fundraisers that helped the local community.
"This isn't a goodbye to every location, but it is a heartfelt thank you for the moments we've shared together," PDQ's website reads. "From family dinners to shakes with friends, your support has meant the world to us."
Heather Erazo works as PDQ's operations coordinator. She wrote on Facebook on Nov. 2, 2025, about the shutdown. "We'll forever cherish the memories, from seeing kids light up, taking pictures with our fun decorations, to collecting gifts for children in need, and of course, the amazing team members who made it all possible," she said. "You've truly made Naples feel like home to our little family."
Saucy! by KFC is testing things out in Orlando right now. The menu has 12 signature sauces, including chimichurri ranch, Creole honey mustard, Korean sweet heat, Thai sweet n' spicy, and Caesar dressing. One sauce cup is 49 cents, or get four for $1.89 for a sauce flight.
The menu features chicken tenders and a chick'ito with Caesar, kimchi, and ranchero variations, which is like a chicken taco.
PDQ isn't closing every location. After the Naples location closes on Nov. 18, the nearest PDQ restaurants are in Fort Myers — one on Cleveland Avenue and another at Gulf Coast Town Center.
