The Matlacha Holiday Lighted Boat Parade happens Sunday, Dec. 14. Boats gather on the south side of the bridge at 5:30 p.m., and the procession begins at 6 p.m. Boaters who want to join don't need to register.
Vessels will head north along the east shoreline, swing around the top, then move down the west side before returning to where they started. Every boat passes under the bridge at the start.
You can watch from the bridge or shoreline. When picking a spot, please respect private property.
Organizers have one rule. Boaters should celebrate the season and skip political statements or references during the procession.
