The Fort Myers Beach Woman's Club will hold its 8th Annual Christmas Tree Festival on Dec. 12 and 13. The event takes place at the Margaritaville Beach Resort ballroom. The King Family Foundation backs this two-day fundraiser, which helps nonprofits around Fort Myers Beach.
"This year's event is proving to be our largest ever," said Megan Allers, Festival Co-Chair, in an announcement submitted to the Fort Myers Beach Observer. "The Festival has continued to grow and raise substantial money for the participating nonprofits."
Admission is free. Visitors can place silent bids on decorated Christmas trees and wreaths over two days. Local nonprofits and businesses donate these items, then dress them up for the occasion. Each tree's proceeds return to its chosen charity.
Friday night starts with a VIP preview and cocktail party. It runs from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. This special hour brings live music, a cash bar, and food trucks. Only ticket holders who purchase $100 VIP ticket can attend this special event. Only 100 VIP tickets are available.
The doors open to everyone at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
Saturday's fun begins at 1 p.m. and features a holiday vendor market alongside a bake sale. There's also a chili tasting and cook-off with prizes — first place wins $750, while second place claims $500. Prizes go out in each class, though the contest caps at 15 cooks.
Winners are announced at 8 p.m. on Saturday. That includes top bidders for trees, wreaths, and centerpieces. Chili champions also get recognition, plus whoever snagged the grand prize in the holiday raffle.
The Woman's Club operates as a 501(c)(3) organization. Donations qualify for tax deductions. Visit the Fort Myers Beach Woman's Club website for more details.
