Florida's events in 2026 will be filled with numerous entertainment, sports, arts, culture, and seasonal celebration activities scheduled throughout the state, with all major festival weekends returning to the state, including Gasparilla Pirate Fest in Tampa and EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival at Walt Disney World.

In addition to the many different festival weekends, motorsports and high-profile sporting events will be the highlights of the year, including the Daytona 500, Miami Grand Prix, and the full season of boat shows, fairs, food festivals, and arts events, running from the Panhandle down to the Keys.

Alongside headline events, the 2026 calendar lists holidays and notable dates that affect travel, schools, government offices, and businesses statewide. The schedule distinguishes between federal holidays observed nationwide, paid state holidays for government employees in Florida, and other widely recognized observances and seasonal milestones.

Beyond festivals and holidays, 2026 includes a variety of notable national and global moments. These range from Groundhog Day on Feb. 2 to the opening of the 2026 Winter Olympics on Feb. 6, followed closely by the Super Bowl on Feb. 8. Daylight saving time begins on Mar. 8, Easter falls on Apr. 5, and the year also includes notable astronomical events such as lunar eclipses in March and August and a solar eclipse in August.
