Sabrina Carpenter’s new song and music video for “Please Please Please” hard launches her relationship with Irish actor Barry Keoghan.

Sabrina Carpenter Hard Launches Relationship With Barry Keoghan
The music video for “Please Please Please” begins with Carpenter sitting in a jail cell but looking all dolled up. As her name is called, she finds out someone bailed her “a– out.” As she nonchalantly applies her lipstick and gets ready to leave, she spots the Saltburn star, clad in an all-black outfit, getting processed into the jail.
With love striking the two at first sight, the next scene shows Carpenter in a luxurious blue velvet hooded outfit visiting Keoghan and talking through a glass. When Barry gets released, she’s waiting for him wearing a fluffy, hot pink coat.
Lyrics for “Please Please Please” detail Carpenter not wanting to be embarrassed by her relationship. She sings, “I know I have good judgment, I know I have good taste. It’s funny and it’s ironic that only I feel that way, yeah.” Later in the song, she warns, “I heard that you’re an actor, so act like a stand-up guy.”
The song warns Keoghan to behave even further as Carpenter states, “Heartbreak is one thing, my ego’s another. I beg you, don’t embarrass me, motherf—er.” The music video shows Keoghan getting into brawls, stuffing people into trunks, sticking up banks with a gun, and getting locked up and freed once more. The playful song ends with Carpenter handcuffing Keoghan to a chair, plastering a piece of duct tape to his mouth, and sealing it with a cherry-red lipstick-stained kiss.
Reacting to Keoghan’s cameo and her song lyrics, fans took to X (formerly Twitter) to share their thoughts. One person wrote, “sabrina carpenter hard launching her relationship with a song that says ‘“’i beg you don’t embarrass me motherf—er’ BYEEEE.” Another fan said, “congratulations barry keoghan for being the first man to ever survive in a sabrina carpenter music video.” A third challenged, “barry keoghan you ain’t special, i too would commit crimes for sabrina carpenter.”
Carpenter told Vogue of Keoghan’s involvement in the music video, “I liked the idea of falling in love with a convict and being shocked and embarrassed every time he commits crimes. I was sooo lucky to get Barry Keoghan in the video cause he is just magic on screen.” Fans scoffed at her luck and wrote things like, “girl you know damn well this was him as soon as you asked.” Another added, “girl if you asked that boy to jump you know he would.”
