Megan Thee Stallion’s upcoming documentary In Her Own Words now has a release date and streaming platform. According to Variety, the multi-part series will chronicle the last two years of Megan Thee Stallion's life.

There’s plenty to cover when it comes to Megan Thee Stallion. She’s released major singles and been involved in public controversies that have raised her profile. From winning her criminal trial against Tory Lanez to her beef with Nicki Minaj and embarking on her first headlining tour, there’s no shortage of events to document.

In Her Own Words is directed by Nneka Onuorah, who also worked on Lizzo's Watch Out for the Big Grrrls. The documentary was announced back in 2022, and fans won’t have to wait long to see it. In Her Own Words will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on October 31.

The documentary aims to clarify the narrative around Megan Thee Stallion’s life. She has been the subject of numerous rumors and allegations. "You’ve heard the hot takes and read the stories — now go straight to the source," the description for In Her Own Words says. This isn’t the first documentary about the rapper. Her legal battle with Tory Lanez was recently covered in the Max release Megan Thee Stallion vs Tory Lanez: Five Shots.

Megan has not spoken extensively about the documentary, but she discussed her business endeavors with Billboard, saying, "I’m proud of all my business deals because everything I do is personal to me. I put 100% into my partnerships, and I’m always so grateful when people want to step into my world."

Earlier this year, Amazon partnered with Megan Thee Stallion for its 10th annual Prime Day event, during which she released an original song called “It’s Prime Day.” The music video showed her purchasing items like a pink dog collar and fake eyelashes from Amazon.

Recently, the rapper hosted the MTV Video Music Awards, kicking off the evening in a one-shoulder leotard reminiscent of an Olympic gymnast’s attire. Megan made a playful reference to Simone Biles, joking that Biles let her borrow the outfit and that she made a few changes. “I deserve a gold medal for being a bad b----,” Megan joked.

She also paid tribute to VMAs history by appearing with a live snake in homage to Britney Spears’ famous 2001 performance, even wearing a recognizable outfit similar to Spears’.
