Olivia Rodrigo Spills Memorable Experiences During Guts World Tour
Olivia Rodrigo just concluded her Guts World Tour and to say she has memorable experiences to share is an understatement. From sold-out arenas to falling off the stage, the High School Musical alum has been spilling all the details about her most memorable experiences from the tour.
Brush in With the Law
In her interview with The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Rodrigo shared an incident with border control reentering the US from Canada.
“I come out, it’s 3 a.m. and I’m delirious, and they take me to a room – and it’s an interrogation room. And he’s like, ‘Have you ever been arrested?’ I’m like, ‘No, I haven’t been arrested.’ And he’s like, ‘Are you sure?’” By this time, Rodrigo starts panicking and second-guessing herself.
After 30 minutes of interrogation, border control asked for her name. “And I go ‘Olivia Rodrigo. R-O-D-R-I-G-O’ and ‘He’s like, ‘Oh, there’s a girl who looks just like you, that’s your same age, that’s been arrested multiple times, and her name is Olivia Rodriguez.’”

Olivia Rodrigo Fell Off the Stage
Another memorable moment Rodrigo shared of her tour was when she accidentally fell into a hole on stage during her Melbourne concert. Per People, the “Drivers License” singer admitted the moment “was really scary” and that “Watching the video back, it’s pretty terrifying. I mean the show must go on, that’s showbiz baby.” Talk about being a professional!
Proud of Her Heritage
According to CNN, Rodrigo considered falling off the stage in her Melbourne concert “actually kind of a beautiful thing.” Before going to Australia, Rodrigo did a one-day show in the Philippine Arena, the world’s largest indoor arena, as part of the Asian leg of the tour. “I was thinking about my family and my heritage, and my relatives and I fell, and I was like all shaken up. I went to the hospital after. Nothing happened but they just wanted to make sure I didn’t have a concussion.”
The male nurse who looked after her while in the hospital was Filipino and, according to the Grammy-award-winning singer, shared the same name as her grandfather, who recently passed away. “So I was like wow that was [her grandfather] looking out for me. Making sure I didn’t get hurt and so I’m really happy it happened. I think it’s a beautiful story.”
