There’s a new bill in congress that would eliminate the student loan debt of health-care workers treating patients that have coronavirus.

The bill was introduced by New York Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney aimed specifically at frontline workers who provide COVID-related health-care services.

This would include doctors, residents, interns, nurses, home health care and mental health professionals.

Any forgiven student loan would not be counted as income. This bill is now in congress.
