There’s One Huge, Looming Thing About Calvin Harris’ New Video

Blame it on aesthetic, but honestly, it falls short to me. 

Trying to do the whole throwback-style thing, it seems as if Calvin Harris has tried to go retro and sort of just looks low budget with this video idea.

Not to hate on Calvin Harris (I'm totally Team Calvin over Team Taylor), but the fact that you can blatantly tell the video was filmed inside a studio, it seems to distract me hardcore over the rest of the video - and takes away from the song. I can see the wrinkle/ripple in the backdrop of the sky, and really, you mean to tell me out of these four dynamite entertainers that someone couldn't have gotten you guys on a real beach?

Katy Perry's verse is lackluster, and the weird part about Calvin playing a bass in the background while Pharrell Williams carries the song causes the video to be all the more awkward.

Oh, and Big Sean with Parrots.
