Uber Is Now Testing Driverless Options In Toronto
Talk about freaky, how would you feel being in a car with no driver?
Well, Uber is working on just that, starting test pilot cars in Toronto, Canada.
According to Complex, “the rollout will only include two self-driving vehicles operating in manual mode. This means that the cars themselves will be autonomous, but they will still have human operators overseeing the commute.”
Uber apparently began testing this in the U.S., and there was a serious collision, so they revamped their strategy.
Complex says that Uber is expecting to have self-operating cars running routes by the end of the year.
To be honest, especially in states where there’s bad weather (looking at you Michigan, New York, Boston, Chicago), I think I’d rather have a human have my life in their hands instead of a car which is programmed to drive in normal weather conditions.
