Woman Streaks Cosby Trial
USA Today claims Bill Cosby was walking into court yesterday for opening arguments in his sexual assault retrial when a topless woman ran by him with the words ”Cosby” and ”rapist” painted across her body. Cosby is now visually impaired and may not have seen the woman. Cops took her away.
Hollywoodlife.com has identified the streaker as former Cosby Show actress Nicole Rochelle. She tells the NY Daily News; “The main goal was to make Cosby uncomfortable because that is exactly what he has been doing for decades to women. It was definitely a peaceful type of protest. I just wanted him to feel my presence and to feel uncomfortable. I didn’t want him to just walk like, ‘La-di-da, it’s a normal day. I have my regular dignity, and I did nothing’. I wanted him to feel something. …I can use my body as a political statement and not just a sexual object, like he did to other women. I wanted to show him that I was not disempowered.”
Nicole appeared on The Cosby Show four times between 1990 and 1992. She played a character named Danielle.
