Happy Birthday To One Of My Favorite People
Today is Alessia Cara’s Birthday and here’s a quick story.
We were backstage at the Grammy’s in 2016. Alessia had a lot of success with her first single (Here) but as we talked she was clearly concerned that it couldn’t last. That’d she be just another forgotten pop star. She was so humble. I told her that she was surrounded by really good people and above all, Ryan (Seacrest) loves you.
She perked up “I love Ryan”.
“Wild Things” came out shortly after that.
In 2017 there was “Stay” with Zedd, and of course “1-800-273-8255” with Logic.
Now she has another album out – The Pains Of Growing
Like I told her, she’ll be fine 🙂
So Happy Birthday to someone who deserves every bit of success that comes her way.
