Jeff J Mitchell / StaffI hate spiders. When I see the memes of people burning down their house because there was a spider - I get it. They're the worse. From common little house spiders, to the crab spiders by the pool, to the nasty brown recluse, to the wolf spider that lunged at me one night, to the black widow we found nesting at the transmitter..... kill 'em all. I hate spiders. So when I learned about a simple way to keep spiders out of the house AND smell like Christmas, I'm interested.
Peppermint. Like the little candies grandma kept in her candy dish (she kept Werther's in there during the other months, but Christmas is time for the white and red peppermints). The article is about peppermint the plant, but peppermint essential oil should do fine. Put some peppermint essential oil on the back of your neck to keep you cool + spiders will stay away. That's a win-win.
So there you go, now your home can be spider free. Of course this is Southwest Florida so you still get cockroaches and ants. Whaddya gonna do right?
