A new study shows that the best time to get your morning caffeine fix is actually an hour after waking up. Scientists found that the ‘alertnesss hormone’ known as cortisol reaches it’s peak an hour after you wake. If you drink coffee while your body is in its peak cortisol production time it is actually working against the effect of the caffeine.
