Chicago police entered R. Kelly's studio but not to make an arrest in conjunction with Surviving R. Kelly.
They entered because R. Kelly is using his studio as a place of residence. The studio is only zoned for industrial use-not residence. R. Kelly also owes $166,000 in back rent on the studio. The police did find that work had been done to the studio without the proper permits. The City will file an amended complaint against R. Kelly for a future court date.
