Roberto Mendoza has cooked for presidents, A-listers, and international dignitaries but it’s his love of cooking for the homeless that really makes him happy.

Now the native of El Salvador can make his dreams of cooking for those in need after winning a $250,000 lottery. Mendoza, bought a $5 Hit $500 scratch-off ticket in North Carolina after his mother said she had a “lucky feeling” about Mendoza winning the lotto. The North Carolina Education Lottery said there were only six big prizes, five had already been claimed. Mendoza’s passion for cooking has extended to feeding the homeless in North Carolina every Saturday and he founded The Chef Heaven’s Kitchen, a program to feed children and needy villagers in the Dominican Republic. Mendoza plans on using his lotto winnings to complete the work at The Chef Heaven’s Kitchen, he hopes one day the program can be open continuously. "God and myself, we will do it together," said Mendoza.

What dream would you make come true if you won $250,000?
