Is eye contact during a conversation a must for you, well you’ll be happy to know that eye contact isn’t needed in order to enjoy a conversation.

Most people believe that avoiding eye contact during a conversation means that the person is being dishonest or lacks confidence, however, a new study says that’s not the case. Using eye-tracking technology Researchers at Edith Cowan University had four-minute conversations with 46 people. Half of the people they looked into their eyes while talking the other half they looked at the person’s mouth. The researchers found that both the eye group and the mouth group enjoyed the conversation equally.

How important is it for people to look you in the eyes while having a conversation? Do you assume the person isn’t confident or is lying?
