Unless you like topping your spaghetti with fragments of plastic, you'd probably better check the bottle of Ragu in your kitchen pantry.
Mizkan America Inc., the company that makes the popular pasta sauce, has issued a recall for several Ragu products after finding plastic fragments in some of them.
The types of sauce that could be infected include Chunky Tomato Garlic & Onion, Old World Style Traditional and Old World Style Meat with an expiration date of June 4th, June 5th or June 6th, the company says.
If you have one of those types with one of those expiration dates, you should return it to its point of purchase, according to Mizkam.
Mizkam officials note the recall is voluntary and no reports of injuries or illnesses have resulted from the plastic-contaminated sauce.
