McDonald's CEO Steve Easterbrook has been fired. He was fired for having a consensual relationship with an employee.
The Board of Directors said the relationship was in violation of the Company's policy and demonstrated poor judgement.
Easterbrook was CEO since March 2015. He previously served as the company's Chief Brand Officer and Head of Operations in the UK and northern Europe.
Most people spend more time at work than they do with their own families.
Work is where you usually meet people, make friends, etc. If both adults consent to the relationship, is it fair to fire someone over it?
