The band will act as patrons of a variety of art projects around the world, according to Billboard. The "Connect, BTS" project officially launched Tuesday morning at London's Serpentine Galleries with the unveiling of "Catharsis" by Jakob Kudsk Steensen, which will run through early March.
"CONNECT, BTS is a global project to connect five cities and twenty-two artists, each of whom contributes their unique philosophy and imagination to it,” reads a statement on the project's website. “This project aims to redefine the relationships between art and music, the material and immaterial, artists and their audiences, artists and artists, theory and practice."
The launch of this art project comes days before an upcoming new single from BTS due out on Friday, Jan. 17.
