Tekashi 6ix9ine -- the rapper who is also a federal informant -- had a pretty eventful weekend. It started on Friday when he released a video for a new song, "Gooba," It was his first new music since a federal judge in April allowed him to finish the remaining months of his two-year sentence for racketeering (and other charges) in home confinement.

After dropping the song, he went on Instagram Live for about thirteen minutes, according to The New York Times. He addressed accusations that he was a “rat” for cooperating with authorities, he discussed attempts on his life and theft of his money, and said that people had tried to kidnap his mother. He responded to accusations that he’d betrayed his loyalty to the gang by arguing they hadn’t been loyal to him. “I snitched; I ratted,” he said. “But who was I supposed to be loyal to?”

On Saturday, he posted a video where he brags about money while standing on the deck of the house he had been living at. XXL shared the video on their Instagram account.

On Sunday, he posted a photo to Instagram holding large stacks of money on the deck of the house where he had been living, and asked fans to describe him in one word. Many of them used rat emojis, while others said "snitch" and "dead."

And as XXL reports,  a nearby resident saw the rapper filming outside on his balcony and posted a video to social media revealing his location. 6ix9ine has since had to relocate.

Brian has been working in pop culture and media for about three decades: he’s worked at MTV, VH1, SiriusXM, CBS and Loudwire. Besides working as a writer and an editor-in-chief, he’s also appeared on air as a pundit, guested on radio shows and hosted podcasts. Over the years, he’s interviewed the surviving members of Led Zeppelin, the members of U2, Beyonce, Pink, Usher, Stevie Nicks, Lorde… and is grateful to have had the chance to interview Joe Strummer of the Clash and Tom Petty.
