The Georgia Bureau of Investigation announced earlier tonight that they arrested William “Roddie” Bryan Jr., age 50, on charges of felony murder and criminal attempt to commit false imprisonment. As they said in a press release, "These charges stem from the February 23, 2020 incident that resulted in the death of Ahmaud Arbery. He will be booked into the Glynn County Jail."

The GBI was also investigating this note which read, "Ahmaud, I should have stopped them, I am so sorry, I should have stopped them," but wrote, "The GBI has identified the individual that wrote this note. The individual is not connected to the Ahmaud Arbery murder investigation in any way. This person was expressing their condolences for Arbery’s death."
