It's happening —Christopher Meloni is returning to Law & Order. With a Spinoff!
The new show "Law & Order: Organized Crime" will see the return of Elliot Stabler. The show will follow Stabler as he returns to the NYPD after a 10 year absence. In Law & Order: Organized Crime, Stabler will face a major readjustment when he returns. "The city and police department have changed dramatically in the decade he's been away, he must adapt to a criminal justice system in the midst of its own moment of reckoning."
13 episodes have been ordered for the new show and even though it hasn't begun filming, NBC feels confident it will be ready for the fall lineup and air on Thursdays right after "Law & Order: SVU".
