Stein Mart Is Bankrupt, Most Stores Will Close
Pier One, Hertz, Men’s Wearhouse, Brooks Brothers, and others. And now as DJ Khaled would say….

Stein Mart is the latest retailer to file for bankruptcy. They plan to close most of their 300 stores across the country. Immediate plans for their store in the Cypress Trace Shopping Mall In Fort Myers at Cypress Lake and 41 is not known.
Stein Mart said in June that Covid-19 was causing financial distress for the company, saying that it had “substantial doubt” it would continue to operate into next year.
The Fort Myers store has roughly 30 employees.
