‘Ninja Cows’ Terrorizing Lehigh Acres Neighborhood
Residents in a Lehigh Acres neighborhood are fed up with a group of “ninja cows” that continue to sneak into their properties at night to eat their vegetation.
“Ninja cows, that’s what I call them. You don’t hear them, they get up very close to your house and they start eating all your vegetation,” neighborhood resident Christian Perez told NBC2 News.
The cows sneak into their yards anywhere from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. leaving behind massive hoof prints and their classic scent, according to Perez.
Mary Pasetti, another frustrated neighbor, shared photos with NBC2 News of a pair of cows that have been sneaking into their yards for the past month.
“I’ve walked the streets, and I’ve seen the ditches go up where I’ve seen hoof prints,” said Pasetti.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Agriculture Unit has been attempting to help remove the cows from the area but to no avail.
Perez said he is coming up with creative ideas to keep the nightly visitors away from his yard after he was told not to shoot the animals.
“I’ve made a makeshift fence with chicken wire to get them not to come but they’re still coming,” said Perez.
