There seem to be some haters who don't like the fact that Verzuz is going in a new direction. As we reported, Verzuz was acquired by Triller Network. And Verzuz creators Swizz Beatz and Timbaland joined the Triller Verzuz management team to become brand visionaries.

Some fans have issues with this, including Power Book II: Ghost star Michael Rainey Jr. On his Instagram stories, he reposted the news about Verzuz and wrote, "Sellouts." He then added, "Cool move but these n—s still sellouts. Cant ever jus have something of our own it’s always bout the money."

He later made similar remarks about Jay-Z's recent business decisions.

Timbaland and Swizz Beatz were not shy and responded. Swizz wrote, "But we own Triller," and Timbaland added, "We own everything tell who done that."
