ABOUT HER JOURNEY
Bishop released her new lead single “Love Me, Leave Me” last week. She worked alongside two-time Grammy award winner Ian Fitchuk to enhance, develop and immortalize her rock-influenced sound.
Fitchuk has created music with well-known artists such as Harry Styles, Shawn Mendes, Kesha, and Kacey Musgraves. Fitchuk also signed with Sony/ATV last year for a publishing deal, according to Billboard.
Now, Fitchuk lends his musical genius to help with Bishop’s first official single.
“That is such a fun experience,” Fitchuk said to Billboard regarding working with Bishop. “To feed off that creativity and energy.”
As of Friday, Bishop’s single amassed over 2k views on her personal YouTube channel in less than 12 hours. Bishop’s personal YouTube subscriber count has also gone up by about 2k in this past month.

February 2005 – Casey Bishop was born.
Casey Bishop is a native Floridian, born and raised in the Sunshine State. A local, living in Estero, Florida, her potential for stardom was detected early on by her Three Oaks Elementary School teachers.
ABC 7 spoke with Bishop’s former music teacher Beverly Davis about the early realization of Bishop’s fame and success.
According to Davis, she knew that Bishop was going to be on American Idol one day. “We’re like ‘oh you’re going to be on American Idol one day I just know it,’ yeah we would say things like that back when I had her.”
Her journey on American Idol has been a successful one, with Casey reaching the Top 5 of American Idol Season 19.
Prior to Idol, Casey has not had any prior experience singing and performing. Before her audition, Bishop informed the judges that she never sung in front of anyone, and she only sings in her bathroom.
She went on to perform two songs, “Live Wire” by Mötley Crüe and “My Funny Valentine” by Sarah Vaughan, both wowing the judges. It was then when the judges knew Bishop was special.
Judge Luke Bryan even predicted that Bishop would be the winner of American Idol by saying “I think she’s the damn winner of ‘American Idol.’ Period. It’s evident.”
An electric seventeen weeks of Season 19 has landed Casey in the Top 5 contestants for American Idol. Week after week, Bishop’s performance was met with an abundance of praise from judges and viewers across the country.
Most notably, in week 9, after Bishop’s All-Star Duet with Incubus singer Brandon Boyd, the judges liked her performance but knew she could do more.
Both judges Luke Bryan and Katy Perry agreed they wanted Bishop’s attitude to match her look and voice.
Bishop took this advice and redeemed herself in week seventeen with the performance of “Paradise” by Coldplay and “Ironic” by Alanis Morissette.
Judges were elated to see the newfound confidence and attitude that was missing from Bishop’s earlier performances.
Judge Perry instructed Bishop to “Keep bringing that stage presence and it will take you to higher heights.”
