Florida Is Ending The Extra $300 Weekly Unemployment Payments

The Florida Department Of Economic Opportunity announced today that Florida will be ending the extra $300 Weekly Unemployment payments!

This will become effective June 26, 2021. State officials are calling it another key step to getting more Floridians to return to work.

All other federal aid programs will remain, however they too will expire on September 6th.  

According to ABC April’s labor statistics which show total private-sector employment increased by 18,800 jobs and more than 460,000 online job postings available throughout the state for job seekers.

If you are eligible, the Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA), Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation (PEUC), and Mixed Earners Unemployment Compensation (MEUC) programs will continue, at least for now.
