Goodbye FASTPASS: Disney Introduces New ‘Genie’ App
Disney has officially announced its new Genie Service, along with Genie+ and Lighting Lane to help guests streamline their visits to the parks, according to WDW News Today.
The free digital service, which will be built into the My Disney Experience and Disneyland App, is a new service that is meant to “maximize your park time, so you can have more fun,” according to the company.
“It includes a personalized itinerary feature that will quickly and seamlessly map out an entire day. From specific attractions, foodie experiences and entertainment, to general interests like Disney princesses, villains, Pixar, Star Wars, thrill rides and more – just tell Disney Genie what you want to do and it will do the planning for you,” the company said in a blog post.
There will also be a paid version called “Disney Genie+” that allows guests to access the “Lightning Lane” for $15 at Disney World and $20 at Disneyland.
Similar to the now retired FASTPASS, Lightning Lane selections can be made on the same day of your visit and can be used across multiple theme parks.
