Where is Brian Laundrie? The Search Continues on Venice side of Carlton Reserve
The search continues Tuesday morning for 23-year-old Brian Laundrie in the area of Carlton Reserve, according to NBC2.
Laundrie, the fiance of Gabby Petito, packed a backpack and told his family that he was heading out for a hike at the Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park on Sept. 14.
On the same day, one of Laundrie’s family members picked up his car from the park and drove it back to their home on Wassabo Avenue, officials said.
Officers with the North Port Police Department, FBI, K9 search teams, and crews from multiple government agencies are searching the 25,000-acre area for Laundrie.
One person on Facebook shared screenshots on Tuesday morning from a surveillance camera that captured a man who fits the description of Laundrie on a trail in Baker, FL.
The original poster said they shared the information with authorities. The identity of the person in the surveillance photos has not been confirmed.
FBI officials announced on Sept. 19 that human remains that are consistent with Gabby’s description were found in Teton County, Wyoming. Investigators said that a full forensic identification is pending.
