The Don't Worry Darling director added to her Instagram Stories: “If I thought he was hot before, this really put me over the edge.” She also tagged the parents, who are expecting their second child together.
Some didn't like that Wilde, who is now single, was seemingly coming on to a man who is spoken for. One person said, "olivia wilde is the most disgusting, cheating liar, white trash wrinkled up hag and i hate her. i hope the absolute worst for her. i am an olivia wilde hater and i always will be. a trash can of a woman. disgusting waste. fall off and f--- off! bitch !"
Another wrote, "That’s why you deleted the previous story? Get a job as actress/director literally… Oh wait nobody wants to hire you." Adding another, "olivia wilde is so entertaining because she almost understands the best version of what feminism should be but then completely fumbles the delivery, every time."
Other people saw a double standard, as Ethan Hawke recently posted throwback photos on Instagram cozying up to Rihanna after her Super Bowl halftime performance. One person said, "misogyny is CRAZY. people were eating up etham hawke making a joke out of being really into rihanna. but olivia wilde called asap hot for cheering on his partner and she’s getting called a slut ?!"
Another person shared the same views, writing, "people laughing at ethan hawke’s jokes about being really into rihanna but for olivia wilde shes a “slut” LMAO yall hate women so much it’s unreal." One fan asked, "Why don't you tell people about how Olivia Wilde also posted extensively about the Turkey-Syria earthquake? Or is your true intention trying to get people to mock her because its a trend rn?"
An hour later, Wilde deleted and reposted the video to her Stories writing, “For anyone who got it twisted [rolling eyes emoji]... It's hot to respect your partner. Especially when your partner just did thaaaaaat.”
