Trainor appeared on The Kelly Clarkson Show recently, and she discussed her TikTok video where she shaves her facial hair. In the March video, Trainor, 29, is filmed by her brother shaving her face with an eyebrow razor.
She captioned the clip: "I CUT MY FACE SO MUCH WTF. what am I doing wrong?? Lol getting ready for live tv #iamyourmother #australianidol." As she continues shaving away fuzz from her face, her brother says, "Damn... Wolverine." At the end of the clip, Trainor has little pieces of toilet paper stuck to the little cuts she made all over her face. "Help me. I need to be on TV tonight," the "All About That Bass" singer says while she was judging Australian Idol.
While speaking with Clarkson, 41, she was asked by the host to explain what she was doing in the clip. Clarkson noted that everyone knows she likes to "keep it real with everyone on social media and life in general." Trainor joked, "Oh, I’m shaving my beard! My peach!" After they playfully made fun of Trainor cutting her face all over, Clarkson said, "People don’t talk about this. Let’s talk about it." As she stroked her chin, Trainor tells the "red flag collector" singer, "I’m fuzzy wuzzy."
Clarkson told the audience that women grow “peach fuzz” on their faces the older they get. She then admitted while feeling her cheek, "Literally, I’m like, 'I am a peach.' And I’m blonde, so then when I go in the sun, it looks like I'm a Twilight vampire because I glisten. My beard will glisten! My beard."
Understanding Clarkson’s struggles as a blonde herself, Trainor recalled, "I saw it in the 'Lips Are Moving' music video. They're like, 'We're gonna do a close-up on your lips.' I was like, 'I have a mustache! Why did no one tell me?' And so on big important days, when I know we're doing a music video, I will shave the night before or the day of."
Clarkson says she leaves the face-shaving to her girl Glo because she's "lazy." Complimenting her work, Trainor tells her, "You look good. I can’t see a single hair." Because their hair always gets caught in the sun, Trainor adds, "That’s real. We’re hairy." The talk-show host joked, "At least it’s blonde."
