Machine Gun Kelly Punches Fan in the Face

Machine Gun Kelly recently obliged a fan's very unusual request. This fan wanted to get punched by the rap-rocker. In a video shared to MGK's Instagram from his set at the 2023 Rock Werchter festival in Belgium on Saturday (July 1), he read a sign from a fan with the bizarre request.  "I just came from Mexico 4 u 2 punch me in the face," read the crowd member's sign. After reading the message, MGK, 33, asked, "Why do you want me to punch you in the face so bad?"

"I love you!" responded the fan. Unconvinced by their answer, the "bloody valentine" musician said, "I got rings on, dude. That s---'s gonna hurt." After a little contemplation, MGK, whose real name is Colson Baker, says, "I don't know... It's a lose-lose for me. I don't know if I'm gonna do it. I'll consider." In the clip shared to Instagram, we see the Houston native walking to the crowd while performing "My Ex's Best Friend" and holding the fan's sign, showing it to the camera before lightly punching him in the face.

The fan seemed pleased to get punched by MGK, and the musician pointed to him when he returned to the stage, yelling, "I love you!" In a slow-mo shot of the punch, you can see the fan instantly smiling after the punch to the face and giving two thumbs up. "Making dreams come true [thumbs up emoji]," Machine Gun Kelly captioned the video.

That fan may have wanted to get hit by an artist, but please note: most artists don't want to be on the receiving end. As we recently reported, Adele has some strong words for concertgoers who have the audacity to throw objects at performers on stage. During a Weekends with Adele show at The Colosseum in Las Vegas, the “Easy on Me” singer spoke about the etiquette people seem to lack as of late. Bebe Rexha, Ava Max, and Kelsea Ballerini have all been hit in the face on stage.

“Have you noticed how people are forgetting f—ing show etiquette at the moment,” Adele, 35, told the crowd. “People are throwing s— on stage. Have you seen them?” She then joked (but could definitely be serious), “I f—ing dare you — I dare you [to] throw something at me. I’ll f—ing kill you.” While using a t-shirt cannon immediately after, the Grammy winner pointed out the irony of firing the gifts to her fans. “Stop throwing things at the artist when you can shoot things at people,” she added with a laugh. “It’s a total reverse. I’ve gotta go back over and give my t-shirt gun back. These people have lost it. Can you imagine?” Watch the video here.

Machine Gun Kelly has said some pretty ridiculous things in his 31 years of existence. One of the more recent instances of hilarity was a story his girlfriend Megan Fox told of their first meeting.

When Fox, 35, met MGK briefly at a GQ party in Los Angeles, she said, "I don’t remember your face... And I definitely would have remembered his face," she continued. "I just remember this tall, blond, ghostly creature and I looked up and I was like, 'You smell like weed.' He looked down at me and he was like, 'I am weed.' Then, I swear to God, he disappeared like a ninja in a smoke bomb."
