During Monday night's (May 6) biggest fashion event of the year, the SKIMS founder showed up at the 2024 Met Ball wearing a Maison Margiela by John Galliano Artisanal gown featuring a metal corset and a metal floral overlay, giving the illusion of lace. As expected by a Kim look, the reality star struggled to move and go up the famed Met steps.

She spoke with Vogue on the garden carpet and described her look as a garden-partying heiress pressed for time. "This is like—what did we say—[I] had the wildest night of my life in a garden, and I just ran out and grabbed my boyfriend's sweater and threw it on and had to get to work," she said, laughing. "And my hair is all messed up." The back of her head did, in fact, seem disheveled, as her hair was messily braided at the end and teased.
Oddly, as she was on the red carpet, the reality star was clutching onto her gray cropped cardigan, making micro adjustments as she posed for photos.

Kardashian, who stands at just 5-foot-2, lost nearly 20 pounds to squeeze into the Marilyn Monroe iconic glittering nude gown from 1962, two years ago. Even after the crazy dieting and workout she did to prep, the mother of four still damaged the vintage and historical art piece. Fans slammed her for wearing the dress, even though it was given the green dress by Ripley's Believe It or Not!, who purchased the dress in 2016 for a whopping $4.81 million, making it one of the most expensive dresses in the world.

Kim Kardashian Shocks The Internet With Her Extremely Tiny Waist
With last night's Met look, folks shared their thoughts on social media about how barely-there her waist is. Sharing the studio photos on her Instagram, her extremely tiny waist stands out even more. With over two million likes, there were plenty of concerned and angry comments not agreeing with her look.
One person, who got over 35,000 likes, wrote: "Girl… slay. But where did you put all your internal organs???" Another said, "I love you and respect you so much as a mother and entrepreneur, but your waist being cinched in so tight does not look healthy or send the right message. Not that my 2 cents matters in the grand scheme of your you life, just had to say it." A third user, whose comment received over 14,000 likes, wrote: "It’s to a point where it’s disturbing."
More comments echoed the smallness of the star's waist. One person commented," How r u breathing tho." While another asked, "Is your waist in the room with us even?! [disappointed sigh emoji, heart eyes emoji]." A third dryly asked, "Kimberly where is your torso." One fan shared their concern and wrote, "I respect the branding beast she is as well as the style but the waist is scary."

Zendaya’s Best Met Gala Looks
It has been five years since Zendaya last graced the Met Gala's highly-anticipated fashion event. The 27-year-old superstar is set to co-chair this year's Met Gala, with the theme being "Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion."
About The 2024 Met Gala
The ball's theme will "reactivate the sensory capacities of masterworks in the Museum’s collection through first-hand research, conservation analysis, and diverse technologies—from cutting-edge tools, artificial intelligence, and computer-generated imagery to traditional formats of x-rays, video animation, light projection, and soundscapes."
Hundreds of garments and accessories spanning four centuries will be presented by the stars, "visually united by iconography related to nature, which will serve as a metaphor for the fragility and ephemerality of fashion and a vehicle to examine the cyclical themes of rebirth and renewal." The dress code for the guests is called "The Garden of Time." It is inspired by a short story of the same title written by J.G. Ballard in 1962.
The 2024 Met Gala hosts joining Zendaya are Jennifer Lopez, Bad Bunny, and Chris Hemsworth. They follow last year's star-studded hosts: Penélope Cruz, Michaela Coel, Roger Federer, Dua Lipa, and Vogue’s Anna Wintour. Wintour has run the Met Gala since 1995.
The Gala is a highly exclusive fundraising benefit that serves as an opening celebration for the Institute's annual fashion exhibit. Following the event, the exhibition runs for several months. The 2024 Met Gala will take place on Monday, May 6, in New York City at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Zendaya has attended the Met Ball five times.
All About Zendaya
Zendaya has been a Zen-slaya on the red carpet for years. It seems fitting that the Challengers star’s name means “giving thanks” in the language of the African Shona tribe because that’s what we do every time we see her turn a piece of clothing into a work of art.
She was born Zendaya Maree Stoermer Coleman in Oakland, California, to teacher parents Claire Stoermer and Kazembe Ajamu Coleman on September 1, 1996. Her father is African-American, while her mother has German and Scottish ancestry; she is the youngest of five older siblings.

Z began her career as a child model working for Macy’s and Old Navy, and as a backup dancer before gaining prominence for her role as Rocky Blue on the Disney Channel sitcom Shake It Up. She made her film breakthrough in 2017, starring as Michelle “MJ” Jones in Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017). Zendaya would reprise that role for the latter Spider-Man live-action films starring opposite her beau, Tom Holland.
