Per new court documents obtained by People, a security guard who worked for the former couple is planning to testify in the family's custody battle. Though their security personnel and housekeepers apparently entered non-disclosure agreements, they will testify against Jolie, 48.
In the court documents, two contractors who worked personal security for the Eternals star were likely to testify against Pitt. Security company owner Tony Webb, who claims he was fired by Jolie after 20 years of service, still currently works for Pitt, 60.
Battle of the NDAs
Webb said he received a phone call from one of Jolie's aides, asking for help to stop the two contractors from testifying against Pitt. The aide threatened that Jolie would sue the individuals for breaching their NDAs. According to Webb, both of the individuals said they would testify regardless of the NDA if they received a court subpoena. If asked, Jolie's aide would also testify about Jolie telling their kids to avoid Pitt.
In response, Jolie's attorney, Paul Murphy, said in a statement: "Mr. Pitt’s continued attempt to equate common NDAs for security personnel and housekeepers covering confidential information employees learn at work, with him demanding an expanded NDA to ensure the continued coverup of his deplorable actions remains shameful."
Murphy states that all Jolie wanted out of this messy legal battle with Pitt was "separation and health, with positive relationships between all members of their family, including Mr. Pitt. She looks forward to the day when he is finally able to let her go."
Meanwhile, Pitt's lawyers say that Jolie used NDAs against Pitt when she refused to sign them when it came to their French winery Château Miraval. Pitt wanted to buy her out in 2021. As we previously reported, Jolie’s legal team said Pitt refused to allow his ex-wife to sell her portion of their shared winery unless she signed an “expansive” NDA.
The latest filing comes just over a month after Jolie's lawyers filed documents claiming Pitt was "physically abusive" toward her before the alleged 2016 incident on a plane. Apparently, the flight was the first time he became physically abusive to their children as well. Jolie filed for divorce days after this incident.
Jolie and Pitt are currently having two ongoing legal battles. One over their winery and the second over custody of their children. The two share children Maddox, 22, Pax, 20, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 17, and 15-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
