Magical Florida Beach Named the Best

USA Today has a new feature out about the best beaches in Florida, as part of their "10 Best" series. First, their travel experts selected a range of Florida beaches to feature on their poll. Then, Florida residents and travelers voted for their favorite beaches. The result is a tally of the best beaches in the state, including the very best Florida beach.

Before we get to the magical Florida beach that's No. 1, let's look at a few more. No. 4 on the tally is Clearwater Beach. This beach is also known for its "active options from paddleboarding to parasailing." So, if you're a very active person, then this might be a good destination for you. No. 3 is Lauderdale-By-The-Sea, which USA Today calls, "a picturesque destination that captivates visitors with its small-town charm and beautiful coastal setting." They add that the beach there is famous for its clear waters, which makes it a choice spot to snorkel and dive. They also recommend checking out the Shipwreck Snorkel Trail. No. 2 is Panama City Beach. USA Today notes that this once "raucous spring break destination" is now a more "relaxed coastal getaway that's friendly for all age groups."

So, which magical Florida beach is the No. 1 in the state? According to the experts at USA Today and their readers, it's Delray Beach, which is located within Miami and offers two miles of beach off Palm Beach County. "While visitors are welcome to lay out and soak in the sun all across the beach, Atlantic Dunes Park provides some added natural beauty thanks to its sloping sand hills," they write. It's great to see so many beautiful Florida beaches highlighted in this story. While many of them are popular spots, a few of them are outside of the norm, so it's nice to branch out and try a new beach spot once in a while. Happy swimming.
