Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. And that was definitely the case in Palm Bay, Florida earlier this summer. A Florida woman channeled Carrie Underwood’s well known song in response to her cheating boyfriend.
According to the Palm Bay Police Department, 18-year old Alanah Owen was arrested on charges of criminal mischief after a reported take down on her cheating boyfriend’s car. We will come back to Alanah in a minute, we need to first talk learn more about the boyfriend.
Florida Woman’s Cheating Boyfriend
Alanah Owen’s boyfriend is Charles Cooler. Cooler is 23 years old and was taken into custody back in July, for assault, battery and resisting an officer without violence, according to a Palm Bay police department report. Why, you ask?
The report goes on to say that Cooler was accused of showing up to the home where he was arrested, drunk and telling Owen that “he could have more women,” which started the squabble. Police added that Cooler later tried to hit her, which in turn sparked his eventual arrest.
Fast forward to Cooler being bonded out of jail and returning to the home. He claims his car was left in good condition, and well, that wasn’t the case when he got home. Cooler’s car had been severely damaged including slashed seats, busted out windows, dents and the words “CHEATER” and “LITTLE D***” keyed into the car. Investigators estimated there was approximately $5000 in damages incurred.
According to a statement from a neighbor, she overheard a conversation Owen had about keying the word Cheater into the car. Though Owen claims no involvement, stating she wasn’t staying at the home at the time of the vandalism, police have deemed her responsible and charged her with criminal mischief.
Both Owen and Cooler are out on bond and face looming arraignments for both of their charges.
