11 New Flights From RSW To The Northeast

If you live in Southwest Florida and are ready to make some fall and winter travel plans, this is for you. Check out these 11 new flights from RSW to the Northeast and Midwest. Some take flight this week. Even better, some start at $79 one-way (No Flex Fare promotion). Here is the scoop.

First, the new routes are service by Breeze Airways.

“Breeze’s focus is on connecting underserved markets, adding nonstops between cities with limited or no existing service,” said Breeze Airways’ Chairman and CEO David Neeleman. “Fort Myers has proven so popular for Breeze that we will just keep adding routes like these to New York, New England, Indiana and North Carolina.”

Portsmouth, New Hampshire, is one of the routes Breeze is servicing direct from Fort Myers. It’s one of the new flights from RSW to the Northeast this season.

  • Long Island-Islip, NY ( Wednesdays and Saturdays, starting October 2, from $79 one way)
  • Manchester, NH (Wednesdays and Saturdays, starting October 2 from $89 one way)
  • Stewart/Newburgh, NY (Wednesdays and Saturdays, starting October 2, from $89 one way)
  • Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, PA (Seasonal, Thursdays and Sundays, starting October 3, from $75 one way)
  • Lansing, MI (Thursdays and Sundays, starting October 3, from $75 one way)
  • Burlington, VT (Mondays and Fridays, starting October 4, from $75 one way)
  • Bangor, ME (Wednesdays and Saturdays, starting October 5, from $65 one way)
  • Portsmouth, NH (Thurs and Sun, starting October 10)
  • New Haven, CT (Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri, and Sat, starting December 10)
  • South Bend, IN (Wednesdays and Saturdays, starting February 5, 2025)
  • Wilmington, NC (Mondays and Fridays, starting February 14, 2025)

Many of these routes are seasonal and can change for spring and summer. Take advantage of the new flights from RSW to the Northeast while you can.

Also keep in mind that some restrictions apply so check the fine print. The No Flex Fare promotion is available for purchase through October 10 for travel through November 15.

  • Fort Myers Brewing’s 12th Annual Oktoberfest

    Fort Myers Brewing Company’s 12th Annual Oktoberfest always draws big crowds. This four-day celebration features lots of live music including the Ben Allen Band and a diverse lineup of food trucks. We can’t forget about the craft beer and the seasonal selections. Then there is the annual stein-hoisting competitions. October 3-6th. More info here. 

  • Wine and Wonder Uncorked

    Enjoy some wine-tasting for a cause this weekend at Wonder Gardens in Bonita Springs. Sample a selection of red, white, rosé and sparkling from local vendors while you  stroll and experience the beautiful gardens after dark. There will also be live music. $55 for nonmembers, $50 for members of the Wonder Gardens. Saturday 6-8. More info here.

  • Save Second Base Walking Pub Crawl

    This is the second annual walking pub crawl in Cape Coral to benefit Partners For Breast Cancer Care. Get a passport to have stamped at all 7 participating locations. Enjoy food, beverages and win prizes too. Saturday, 7pm to 11pm. Check in begins at 6pm at Big John’s Plaza. $15. More info here.

  • Downtown Fort Myers Art Walk

    Art Walk happens the first Friday of the month. The streets of downtown Fort Myers come alive with art. The galleries feature special exhibits, see artists in action and enjoy all kinds of activities. The event runs from 5-9pm. More information here.

     

  • Blessing Of The Pets

    This is an annual event at the Cape Coral Animal Shelter to celebrate the Feast Day of St. Francis, the patron of animals. All pets of all faiths are welcomed but must be on leashes. The blessing is promptly at 2:00, Sunday. Free. More info here.

  • Arts for ACT Gala

    It’s the biggest fund raiser of the year for the Abuse Counseling and Treatment Center (ACT) in Fort Myers. This year’s theme is The Swans Black and White. Masquerade. Saturday, 5pm. Live auction begins at 7pm. Caloosa Sound Convention Center, Fort Myers. $150. More info here.
