Bomb Threat Over Paycheck: Florida Man Takes Frustration Too Far
Bomb Threat Over Paycheck? That’s crazy. I mean, we have all had mistakes on a paycheck. It’s happened to many of us before. You’re trying to get paid, but technology decides it’s not your day. Frustration boils up, but most people just vent to friends or by anger posting on social media. Maybe even grab a drink after work. But not our Florida man, Jerome Chambers, an employee with Marcman Solutions. This dude just completely lost it. His response? A bomb threat.
According to WPEC, Chambers, who was working in Dunedin to help with polling changes that were made because of the recent hurricanes. He was supposed to inform the public about the changes, but instead he let them know about something a little more explosive. That’s what got Jerome cuffed up by police, after reportedly making a fake bomb threat at city hall.
Anger Fueled Bomb Threat:
Here is why… Chambers couldn’t get into his payroll app to claim his cash. The anger dial turned up so high that witnesses said he started shouting threats, throwing out a line about blowing people up. He even reached into his car for a black duffle bag, which, as you can guess, was the moment people hit the “Let’s get the hell out of here” button. Deputies pulled up quick to Dunedin City Hall, ready for some action.
When questioned, Chambers denied it all. And the bomb threat? There was no bomb in the bag at all. But hey, that didn’t mean the story ended there. Law enforcement found enough evidence to book him for making a fake bomb threat and for breaking probation on a previous controlled substance charge.
So here we are. A guy who just wanted his money now has bigger problems than just an unpaid invoice. All because he lost his patience.
