If you were hoping for a break in temperatures this weekend, think again. It’s not going to happen. But we do have some ways to keep you cool and entertained. Here are your Weekend Vibes, what’s happening in Southwest Florida July 21-23. In fact, Charlotte County is offering free parking at pools, beaches and boat ramps this weekend to help get you in the water in hopes of cooling off and having a little summer fun.

It’s Christmas in July. It’s not just a sales gimmick for retailers. There are real events locally, marking the half-way point to one of the biggest holidays of the year. It is also supposed to trick us mentally into thinking about all things cool rather than the oppressive heat we are facing. Fort Myers Brewing is holding their annual Christmas in July event on Saturday. They are even serving up Christmas inspired brews such as Keg Nog Imperial Stout which is inspired by eggnog. In addition, there is a Hazelnut Porter and a spiced ale, along with their traditional offerings.
You’ve likely done or at least heard of a pub crawl. How about Bloody Mary crawl? It’s happening in downtown Fort Myers on Saturday. It’s the third Friday of the month so it’s also Music Walk in downtown Fort Myers.
If you like Bloody Mary’s there is a crawl and a cocktail contest in downtown Fort Myers this weekend that has your name written all over it.

Christmas in July Brewfest
Fort Myers Brewing Company is celebrating Christmas in July on Saturday from noon to 11 p.m. with special, holiday brews, food trucks, live music and lots of cool holiday cheer. The local brewery is also offering the “10 Beers of Christmas” with a build-your-own 10-beer flight board. In addition, they are collecting back-to-school supplies to support local students through the Guardian ad Litem Foundation, 20th Judicial Circuit.
Christmas in July Artisan Fair
Shop in the cool temperatures of Port Charlotte Mall and find treasures from local vendors, artisans and businesses. The free, family event is Saturday 11-6.
Bloody Mary Walk
Hosted by Mis Mary’s Mix there are two flights in this pub crawl. Participants have 2 1/2 hours to stop by all four locations to sample and vote on the Bloody Marys. Locations include 10 Twenty Five, Hideaway, Lucky Screw, and The Standard. Check in is inside the Post Office Arcade Building, next to the Standard Restaurant.
Flight is 11am to 1pm
Flight #2 is 2pm to 4pm
Mango Morning
Enjoy learning about and tasting all things mango at tis event by the UF/IFAS Extension Collier Grove with Clark Ryals, Senior Forester with the Florida Forest Service. There are demos on planting and caring for mango and other tropical fruit trees. The best part….sampling. For more details, call (239) 252-4800. It’s from 9-11 Saturday.
