Colorful 4th of July desserts can be as simple as a bowl of ice cream with fruit. However, the recipes below take things several steps forward in the fun and creativity departments.

Colorful 4th Of July Desserts

You can never go wrong with ice cream. It is the quintessential summer dessert choice. However, you can still crank up the churn or stock the freezer and make one or two of these recipes as an accompaniment.

All incorporate red, white and blue colors. Some use dye, others use colored sugar while the rest use fruit in the appropriate colors. Not all are laden with fat and sugar either. There are a couple that lean to the more healthful side for anyone watching their bikini bods.

Recipes are one thing I like to look at on social media feeds. Not all are good, but at least they get me thinking and inspire some creativity in the kitchen. These should do the same. If there is an element you don’t like, think of something to swap out.

Everyone loves a good dessert. Especially a patriotic one. These are some of the ones that stood out in my feed this week.

If you don’t have a TikTok account, don’t worry. I’ve made it easy to view by taking these links from mine. Simply scroll down and watch from this post. Feel free to share with your fellow dessert loving friends.

Finally, here are 5 delicious and colorful 4th of July desserts to try.

  • Smores Dip

Say what? A dip with all of those great smores flavors and no hot fire to stand around? This sounds great and pretty easy to execute. Just keep an eye on it in the oven.

  • Flag Cookie

Giant cookies are almost always fun. This is one of those recipes you could tweak. Come up with your own design and use of toppings. Allthough this one looks pretty good.

  • Flag Cake

This is a bit of classic 4th of July cake. It has the colors and it uses strawberries. It’s kind of a shortcake too. I give this home baker extra points for dressing the part and including matching decor in her kitchen.

  • Healthful Ideas

I like a good compilation video. This one also has some more healthful dessert ideas too. Bonus for anyone who is not a sugar fiend or who is cutting back.

  • No Bake

This is a great idea for something fast and pretty in the pan. Best part, you don’t have to fire up the oven. It’s hot enough in the kitchen. This looks like a crowd pleaser and another one you can customize to your liking.
